His professional journey began in 1999, when he entered the whitewater rafting industry. From 1999 to 2003, he worked in various capacities, gaining hands-on experience and developing a deep understanding of river dynamics, safety protocols and customer engagement. His passion for adventure and his commitment to providing exceptional outdoor experiences set him apart early in his career.
In 2004, Shankar took a bold step by launching his own whitewater rafting business. His entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to quality quickly established his company as a trusted name in Nepal’s adventure tourism sector. His ability to blend safety with thrilling experiences attracted both local and international adventure enthusiasts, allowing his business to flourish.
Recognizing the potential for expanding his offerings, Shankar founded Real Adventure Nepal Pvt. Ltd. in 2009. This company diversified his portfolio beyond rafting, offering a wide range of adventure activities, including trekking, Climbing, canyoning and cultural tours. His vision was to showcase Nepal's rich natural beauty and cultural heritage while maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism.
In 2012, Shankar expanded his ventures further by establishing the River Fun Beach Resort on the banks of the Trishuli River. This resort not only serves as a base for rafting expeditions but also offers a serene retreat for travelers seeking relaxation amid nature.
